Federal Announced last year the introduction of the 224 Valkyrie and after studying the cartridge and the ballistics, we, at Precision Firearms love it. In fact, we had plans along similar lines by using the 6.8 SPC case and necking it down to 22 Cal. But without the support of a large ammo company it wouldn’t have happened. But Federal, among others, are supporting it and so we are making uppers and rifles to utilize the massive potential of this new round. Ballistically superior in almost every way to the 6.5 Grendel, the 224 V as we like to call it, will outrun and out perform pretty much everything else in its class. The numbers are almost unbelievable. For best performance of the 224 V, the 90 grain Sierra MatchKing and the Berger VLD must use 1-6.5 Twist.
