The main differences with the SSA are a different way of holding the hammer pin in, different pins, no laser marking and only spot MP check. Visually, from the outside of the gun there is no difference from the SSA and the feel and reliability is the same.

The Super Charging Handle (SCH®) is 3D machined from a solid block of aircraft grade 7075-T6 aluminum. Its ambidextrous design allows for seamless operation from either side of the weapon. The levers are dual contoured similar to that of the charging handle of an M14, where not only the x-axis but also the y-axis receive radius cuts. The handling surface of the lever is also checkered, adding a textured grip aiding to the use when operating with gloves. The heightened rear lip of the SCH aids in mitigating gas blow back to the shooter when shooting with short barreled and suppressed weapon systems. All parts are then Type 3 Hardcoat anodized and are available in black and DDC (Desert Dirt Color).

The Geissele Gas Block Pin Punch Set is made specifically for the removal and installation of the 0.078" roll pin that secures the gas tube to the gas block of an AR-15/AR-10. Removal of a rusted-in gas block roll pin has always been a challenge since there are no commercial pin punches in 0.078" diameter. Additionally, 1/16" (0.062") punches have a tendency to bend and very few starter punches are available in 1/16" diameter. 

The Geissele Gas Block Pin Punch Set makes gas block work a whole lot easier. The first punch to grab when removing the roll pin is the Starter Punch. This is the punch with the long, tapered end. The long taper is much more resistant to bending and buckling than the straight shank of the Pin Punch. Use the Starter Punch to get the roll pin moving. Then, use the Pin Punch to drive the roll pin out completely. The Geissele Gas Block Pin Punch Set is  made from properly hardened and tempered 01 tool steel. The Gas Block Pin Punch Set is considered a consumable item, meaning they will eventually wear out and will need to be replaced.

The Geissele Maritime Bolt Catch is designed with the warfighter in mind and will work with any lower receiver designed to accept a mil-spec M16/M4 Carbine bolt catch. The increased surface area promotes ease of function when locking back the bolt or releasing the bolt after a magazine change. In addition, the extended controls add an increased functionality for left handed shooters who no longer have to break their grip to manipulate the bolt catch. Left handed shooters can easily reach the controls using the index finger of their left hand making magazine changes and locking the bolt back much more fast and efficient. Aggressive checkering covers the surface of the levers giving the Geissele Maritime Bolt Catch a textured surface that enables positive feedback to the shooters hand when being used with gloves or at night. Manufactured from properly heat treated 8620 steel and manganese phosphate coated, the Geissele Maritime Bolt Catch is intended to serve as an enhanced mil-spec replacement and assist in giving our warfighters overmatch capability with the M16/M4 carbine platform.

The Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA X) Trigger with Lightning Bow is  no longer exclusive to the Super Duty line of firearms! The Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) X trigger is based on the SSA, a semi-automatic only version of Geissele Automatics’s Super Select-Fire trigger. The SSA is a non-adjustable duty rated trigger that is a precision two-stage trigger that allows precise and accurate trigger control. The SSA’s two-stage design allows the trigger to be light enough for accurate and precise shots, but forgiving enough for frenetic close in work. Included with the MK14 Super Modular Rail is an updated version of the proven Geissele Barrel Nut design, not only providing ease of installation but superior rigidity.
