Its straight-sided profile is optimized for use with clamp-style tripod heads, ensuring a secure and repeatable interface in any shooting position. The Tetsu X1 is 100% made in-house in our West Virginia Facility using 100% USA sourced materials, even the screws. Precision Engineering & Superior Materials Available for DPMS-style High Profile .308 uppers, Armalite AR-10, AR-15, and Ruger Precision Rifles, the Tetsu X1 consists of platform-specific components that guarantee a precise fit: To ensure secure mounting, the Receiver Interface Extension is locked in place with a stainless steel nylon-tipped set screw, preventing rotation during installation. The handguard is then secured to the interface extension using twelve #10-32 screws, eliminating flex and reinforcing the system’s structural integrity. Receiver Interface Extension: Crafted from 7075-T6 aluminum for unmatched rigidity. Barrel Nut: Made from 17-4 PH stainless steel for .308 and 416 stainless steel for AR-15 applications. Handguard: Built with 6061-T6 aluminum for a perfect balance of strength and weight savings. Uncompromising Strength & Versatility The Tetsu X1 is engineered to accommodate a variety of precision rifle setups, designed for heavy-profile bull barrels and adjustable gas blocks. With lengths available in 15", 18", 20" and the soon-to-be-released 22", this handguard weighs just 1 lb 10 oz (26 oz) for the 20 inch version including all hardware. The Tetsu X1 derives its name from the Japanese word for “iron,” a fitting representation of its exceptional durability. Rigorously tested, this handguard withstood over 1000 lbs of center-loaded force while spanning from the rear of a Samurai 308 Upper to the front of a 20-inch handguard, demonstrating its structural integrity under extreme conditions.

The LCH7 is Lancer’s flagship free-floating carbon fiber handguard which has been painstakingly engineered to reduce weight while improving the overall strength and accuracy of the AR-10 platform. Contrary to popular belief, we designed these handguards in carbon fiber not for cosmetic reasons, but because our carbon fiber handguards are lighter, stronger, and less heat-conductive than their aluminum counterparts. While they are certainly one of the best options on the market for competition use, they are much more than just “go-fast parts”. The immense strength, durability, and low thermal conductivity of Lancer’s carbon fiber handguards have made them the favored handguard system for some of the most demanding military units and law enforcement agencies both in the United States and in our allied countries around the globe. M-LOK compatible Accepts M-LOK 2″ Sight Rail Designed for DPMS or Armalite ARs chambered in 7.62X51 / .308Win or similar .308 AR rifles with upper receivers threaded for 16/18 thread per inch barrel nut. Inside/Outside dimensions of 1.89″/2.20″ The weight of the handguard, including proprietary barrel nut is 11.5 oz. The handguard is a free float design comprising of a custom octagon shaped carbon-fiber handguard tube connected to the upper receiver with a 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver extension. Cooling slots have been provided to manage barrel temperature and allow the connection of accessory rails. Slots are provided at six o’clock for an accessory rail and holes for sling swivel stud so a bi-pod can be attached. Free float design installation requires the removal of the rifle’s barrel and specialized knowledge in AR rifle disassembly / assembly. 7.2″ (Carbine) and 9.5″ (Midlength) handguard lengths are designed to fit a barrel with a carbine or midlength length gas system, respectively, and fixed front sight post.
